Since the beginning of 2021, MIROPLAST has implemented two charitable projects for the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children’s Hospital. The company helped equip the children’s ward for the treatment of severe cases of Covid-19, and urgently purchased an oxygen sensor to restore the operation of the lung ventilator.
In April 2021, the Kiddo Charitable Foundation applied to MIROPLAST. Due to the growing incidence of Covid-19 the children’s ward with an intensive care unit and a surgery block was urgently opened in the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital. In order to meet safety requirements, it was necessary to purchase enclosing structures that would allow zoning the premises, and to install additional protection on windows and mosquito nets. The management of MIROPLAST gladly responded to the request of Kiddo Charitable Foundation and provided funding to equip this ward.
At the end of May, the children’s hospital faced new difficulties. The hospital administration asked MIROPLAST to help with the purchase of an oxygen sensor necessary for the operation of the lung ventilator. The need for the sensor was urgent, because the lung ventilator is vital for babies born prematurely. Most of these young patients cannot breathe on their own because their lungs are not fully formed.
MIROPLAST received a request for help on Friday, May 21, and on Monday, May 24, the sensor was sent to the hospital, and the operation of the lung ventilator was resumed.
Denis Mykolayovych Surkov, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care for Newborns, and the entire staff of the ward sincerely thanked MIROPLAST for the quick response and personal involvement.
MIROPLAST, a socially responsible company, has chosen to provide assistance to children’s medical centres of Dnipropetrovsk region as its charitable vector. The company urges businesses not to stay away from problems of the medical field and children’s needs and more often to do a good deed for kids.
