The Alef Corporation of businessman Vadym Iermolaiev invests in the development of the Akvarel river terminal in Dnipro city.
According to Iermolaiev on Facebook, his plans include — “to create an industrial logistics hub that will unite many industrial tasks.”
“Dnipro city is the farthest point from the Black Sea inland, where the Dnipro River is still fully navigable. This means that vessels with a freight-carrying capacity of 5,000 tons can reach here. Such an infrastructure is very advantageous for the region,” — Iermolaiev wrote.
According to him, Alef has already finalized the terminal’s berth to a length of 180 m with a guaranteed depth of 4 m.
“In addition, this year we are completing the construction of a grain complex for 17,000 tons of storage in our port. This is an infrastructure facility that will make it possible to accumulate grain and ship it to vessels with a capacity of up to 375 tons/hour. Now all participants of the grain market, both large traders and small private companies, will be able to get a highly efficient logistics service here. The terminal will be able not only to provide a service for loading grain, but also for accumulation, as well as for development to export quality parameters,” — he added.
Iermolaiev did not articulate the amount of investments.
The Akvarel LLC port complex was put into operation in 2010; it can receive various types of river-sea vessels and send cargo by rail to the Nyzhnodniprovsk-Prystan station.
Alef Corporation unites 10 diversified businesses operating in the segment of development, production of medical devices, construction materials and seamless pipes, and the agricultural sector.
