Ukrainian company received an award at the prestigious New York IES Illumination Awards
The project of illumination of the CASCADE PLAZA building, built in the Dnipro by Vadym Iermolaieva’s Ukrainian development company Alef Estate, won two awards at once for an outstanding facade lighting design.
So, after receiving the award at the prestigious New York IES Illumination Awards, which has been celebrating the best lighting architecture solutions in the world for more than 40 years, CASCADE PLAZA was also awarded at the Ukrainian Urban Awards 2018, which recently ended in Kiev, consisting of leading European architects, including the main architects of Barcelona and Copenhagen, noted a unique technical solution, thanks to which the brightness and visibility of the colour dots placed on the facade remains both near the object and many kilometres away from it, on the other bank of the Dnipro river that separates the same city.
The CASCADE PLAZA complex, located on the main pedestrian square of the city, and creating a bright light show at nightfall, has already managed to become one of the main attractions of the regional center.
It is known that earlier Vadym Iermolaiev planned to implement in the centre of Dnipro an ambitious project to build the highest building in Ukraine, the multifunctional complex “Brama”, and even managed to order a building project. However, the economic downturn in the property market froze this plan for an indefinite amount of time.
