  1 October 2019

Businessman Vadym Iermolaev says that it is necessary to raise the prestige of vocational professions in Ukraine. According to him, Ukrainians` reluctance to work in this field creates deficit of workers in the country.

Vadym Iermolaev told about it in his interview on YouTube-channel Young Business Club.

“I believe that many people think that the work at the factory is non-prestigious. The state has to do something in order to raise the prestige of people working at the enterprises, to make the work of laborers respected. All people can not be only lawyers and businessmen”.

Moreover, the businessman told about the control of drain of the labour force abroad at the enterprises of “Alef” corporation:

“Currently we can control it only by means of the salaries. People leave Ukraine in order to earn more abroad. Money prevails, despite the fact that their living conditions are much worse there and they are away from their family and relatives. However, the much higher salary in Poland and Czech Republic attracts them. The workers may earn 30 or 35 thousand of UAH at our enterprises, it depends on the efficiency. And this amount is even bigger than thousand of dollars per month”.
