“The Dnipro Gardens” company (“Sady Dnipra”), one of the owners of which is the famous businessman Vadym Iermolaiev, proceeds with the construction of the largest Ukrainian refrigerating storage facility for apples. The total area of the complex will be equal to 20 thous. m 2 , and this will enable to store more than 19 thous. tons of apples.
“The Dnipro Gardens” company (“Sady Dnipra”) is an export-oriented company dealing with growing of premium class apples. The company started to construct the refrigerating complex in 2018.
Generally the complex will consist of eight storage facilities, and each of the facilities will include 10 chambers for storage of 240 tons of apples. Currently two such storage facilities function already in the company. Third priority of the complex construction started in this April.
The storage facility of “The Dnipro Gardens” company (“Sady Dnipra”) will be not only the largest but also the most high-technology in the country. The system of dynamic gas environment (ACR) which is also called as the "aspiration control system” was applied in this company for the first time ever in Ukraine. Use of such technology enables to establish the optimum oxygen and CO2 content automatically and to store apples in pristine condition within 2 years.
The whole complex may be managed from one computer. The equipment for the storage facility is supplied by the Dutch company Van Amerongen.
Extension of the storage area raises the possibilities of export of the Ukrainian
fruits. In March “The Dnipro Gardens” company (“Sady Dnipra”) exported the lot of apples to Singapore. Moreover, the company supplies its products to Malaysia, Indonesia, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sweden and Great Britain.

It is planned to complete the construction already in this autumn, and the new chambers may be operated for storage of new apple crop at once.
