Businessman and investor Vadym Iermolaiev explained on his Facebook page why most of his business projects are located in Dnipro.
“They have outgrown their city.” That is how one popular magazine describes businessmen who achieve success and then leave their hometowns.
The very phrasing suggests this vision of life: a person uses all the opportunities their hometown provides, and when those run out, they look for a better place for self-realization.
But there is another option, less practical: to stay where you were born and try to make that place better.
Contributing to the development of your own city, or seeking a better place to live — this is everyone’s personal choice.
“I have also made my choice. When asked why most of my projects are connected to Dnipro, the answer is simple: I love my city. That’s why I don’t want to ‘outgrow’ it — I want it to grow together with me. Because making your home a better place is truly inspiring,” he wrote.
